On Wednesday, February 18 from 5:00–7:00 PM, the Charlestown and Southern Rhode Island Chambers of Commerce will host a joint Business After Hours at the historic General Stanton Inn. The evening promises networking opportunities, door prizes, light bites, and a cash bar. Admission is free, with monetary donations accepted at the door for the Inn’s chosen charity. On Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 PM, the Ashaway Free Library will present From Liberty to Legacy, an engaging multimedia program kicking off America’s 250th birthday year. The lecture explores the nation’s founding through the lens of the musicals 1776 and Hamilton, comparing their contrasting visions of a country at a crossroads.
