The Westerly Mental Health Resource Center is thrilled to celebrate its 1st anniversary on Friday, August 23rd, from 3-7 pm at Sposato Park on Pierce Street. This milestone event promises to be a vibrant community gathering filled with fun, support, and education, reflecting the center's commitment to enhancing mental health resources in the Westerly area.

This free event offers something for everyone. Families and individuals alike can enjoy ice cream from St. Clair's Annex, subs from Jersey Mike's, and beverages from Grey Sail Brewing. Kids will love the games and face painting, while music from DJ Gadget will keep the atmosphere lively throughout the afternoon. There will also be special guest speakers, who will share inspiring stories and discuss the importance of mental health in our community.

One of the highlights of the event is the car seat check, conducted by the Westerly Police Department at the nearby Jonnycake Center's rear lot. This safety initiative ensures that your little ones are securely fastened and provides peace of mind to parents.

In addition to the festivities, attendees will have the chance to connect with local organizations that play a crucial role in promoting well-being in Westerly. The Well-Being Collaborative will be on hand to offer resources and support, while the Westerly Ambulance Corps will provide valuable health information and demonstrations. Wireless Zone Dunns Corners will also be distributing backpacks, adding a practical touch to the event.

The Westerly Mental Health Resource Center has spent the past year working tirelessly to provide essential services to those in need, and this anniversary is a celebration of the positive impact it has made. The event is not just a celebration but also a reminder of the importance of mental health resources in building a resilient and supportive community.

Join the celebration, connect with your neighbors, and help mark one year of progress, support, and hope at the Westerly Mental Health Resource Center.
