Quonnie Farms: Breakfast Sandwich Review

By
2 Minute Read

Quonnie Farms in Charlestown has been on my radar for breakfast sandwich reviews for quite some time, and I finally had the pleasure of visiting this charming spot. Just a quick drive down Route 1, Quonnie Farms is a delightful combination of a local market and eatery, offering fresh produce, homemade goods, and, as I discovered, a breakfast sandwich that ranks among the best I've had in the area.

The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The store is beautifully designed, with rustic touches that make it feel both cozy and elegant. The shelves were lined with fresh produce, homemade jams, and various other essentials that immediately caught my eye. But I was here for one reason: the breakfast sandwich.

Having heard rave reviews about their house-made grilled focaccia bread, I was eager to try it for myself. After placing my order, I had a pleasant chat with the young woman behind the counter. When I asked for her recommendation on the choice of breakfast meat, she suggested ham, and I decided to take her advice.

As I waited for my sandwich, I took the opportunity to browse the store. The selection of fresh produce was impressive, and I made a mental note to pick up some items on my way out.

When my order was ready, I could already tell I was in for something special. The sandwich was beautifully presented, with the golden, grilled focaccia bread standing out as the star of the show. The first bite was everything I had hoped for. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, providing a delightful contrast in textures. The farm-fresh egg was cooked to perfection, with a slightly runny yolk that added richness to each bite. The ham, tender and flavorful, was the perfect complement, bringing a savory note that tied the whole sandwich together.

What sets Quonnie Farms' breakfast sandwich apart from others I've tried is the quality of the ingredients and the care with which it's made. The focaccia bread, in particular, is a game-changer, adding a unique twist to a classic breakfast staple. It's clear that Quonnie Farms takes pride in what they serve, and it shows in every bite.

While my search for the best breakfast sandwich in the area has had no losers, Quonnie Farms has certainly earned a top spot on my list of winners. The combination of house-made focaccia, farm-fresh eggs, and expertly chosen ham was nothing short of perfection. I can't wait to return and try other varieties, as well as to explore more of the store's offerings. If you're in the area and on the hunt for a breakfast sandwich that stands out from the crowd, Quonnie Farms is a must-visit.
