Leo Emery and Dom Andrade (Higher Grounds & Lickety Splits Players of the Game) led Chariho to a big Division 2 win over Narragansett on Tuesday. The Mariners entered 8-1 (3rd in D2) and had beaten Chariho 5-3 on April 16. Andrade was dominant, throwing seven scoreless innings with strong control and off-speed pitches, backed by solid defense. Emery sparked the offense with a first-inning triple and run, then added another triple in the fifth and scored on a sacrifice fly by Landon Sumner, who also tripled. Christian Mancini doubled, Everett Knerr drove in a run, and Ethan Gordon added a single. For Narragansett, Riley Cronin, Jackson DiFilippo, and Zayden Kent had singles, while Max Downey doubled. The win gives Chariho a key boost in the Division 2 standings.
