On Wednesday, February 18 from 5:00–7:00 PM, the Charlestown and Southern Rhode Island Chambers of Commerce will host a joint Business After Hours at the historic General Stanton Inn. The evening promises networking opportunities, door prizes, light bites, and a cash bar. Admission is free, with monetary donations accepted at the door for the Inn’s chosen charity. Business professionals and community members alike are encouraged to attend.

On Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 PM, the Ashaway Free Library will present From Liberty to Legacy, an engaging multimedia program kicking off America’s 250th birthday year. The lecture explores the nation’s founding through the lens of the musicals 1776 and Hamilton, comparing their contrasting visions of a country at a crossroads. Later that evening, live music returns to the Wood River Inn as Chestnut Mare takes the stage on Saturday, February 21 at 7:00 PM. Known as a local favorite for food, drinks, and energetic performances, Wood River Inn continues to be a go-to destination for a Saturday night out in the Chariho area.
