West Warwick/Toll Gate Softball vs Ponaganset, 05-31-2026

Kent County Co-op’s season came to an end Sunday with a hard-fought 8-6 loss to Ponaganset in the Division II softball playoffs. Ponaganset was powered by a big offensive day from Cora Miller, who went 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and a stolen base. Claire Barrett added a perfect 3-for-3 performance with a triple, two RBI and a run scored as the Chieftains collected 13 hits. Mattea Mello earned the win in the circle, striking out eight over seven innings. The loss ends Kent County’s season with an 8-9 record, while Ponaganset advances to face No. 3 Portsmouth in round 3 of the Division II one loss bracket.
