Sophia Moreira blasted a two-run homer to lift Kent County to a 3-2 win over East Greenwich in playoff action. Reagan Motta and Aria Eddy combined to control the circle for Kent County, with Eddy striking out nine over five innings in relief. Motta also went 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Maura Taylor led East Greenwich by going 2-for-3 with a run. Kent County advances to face top-seeded Lincoln in the winner’s bracket semifinals, while the Avengers drop to the one-loss bracket to host South Kingstown on Friday.
