Westerly Softball vs Prout, 05-16-2026

Avery Gingerella delivered a complete game effort and Abiagael Emery drove in the go-ahead runs as Westerly defeated Prout 3-1 at Cimalore Field on Senior Night! After allowing a run in the first inning, Gingerella settled in to scatter five hits and strike out two. Emery brought home Westerly’s first run on a groundout before lining a two-run single in the third to give the Bulldogs the lead for good. Ella Keegan went 2-for-3 with a run, and Frankie Arnold scored twice as Westerly improved to 12-5. Lily Sheehan struck out seven in the loss for Prout, which fell to 8-10.
